The
Minnetonka Alumni Association Fine Arts Endowment Fund
The
Minnetonka Alumni Association Fine Arts Endowment Fund was established
in 2004 to provide a permanent source of income to support fine arts
activities in the Minnetonka Public School District.
Research
has consistently shown that combining the desire to create with the
perseverance needed to excel in the arts results in improved student
performance in all academic subjects.
The Fine
Arts Endowment Fund (FAEF) is intended to foster this full educational
experience, helping prepare students to live and work together, to
appreciate the interconnectedness of humanity and to thrive in an
uncertain future.
The FAEF
provides opportunities for arts enrichment programming beyond the
District’s normal operating budget. Grant applications will be
considered from all schools and fine arts teachers in the District, and
from aspiring students with exceptional proposals.

Donald
Draayer Youth Citizenship Endowment
The Donald Draayer Youth Citizenship
Endowment Fund was initiated in 1995 at the time of retirement of Dr.
Donald Draayer, Superintendent of the Minnetonka Public Schools from
1973 – 1995.
Dr. Draayer’s wish was that interest
income from this fund be made available annually to Minnetonka High
School and Middle School students, to support or create opportunities
for youth service to others, and citizenship and leadership development.
