Endowment
The Foundation's Endowment program
complements its highly successful Teacher Grant Program by addressing
long-term, district-wide needs and visionary programming that cannot be
supported by an annual fund. A stable, permanent source of income
will allow the Foundation to support educational initiatives that
require on-going funding or larger sums that the annual campaign cannot
generate. The Foundation's annual Dream Makers Dinner event and
individual donations contribute to the endowment fund balance.
After five Dream Makers Dinner events
along with individual contributions, the Foundation is pleased to
announce the first project funded by the Endowment:

The Writing Center
The Writing Center is a
partnership with the Minnetonka Public Schools and officially opened
its doors in November, 2007. The Writing Center is located at
Minnetonka High School and staffed by Maggie Shea, who previously
taught English at MHS and has worked as a freelance writer for the
past few years.
The Writing Center will
serve writers of all abilities in grades 9-12, with potential to
expand services to middle and elementary levels in the future.
